CW3 Danny Randolph, 40, of Murfreesboro, TN, tragically lost his life February 15, 2023 in a UH-60 Blackhawk accident in Huntsville, AL.
Danny was born on 23 July 1982 in Hendersonville, TN to parents Chester and Patricia. He married his wife Melissa on 5 May 2017. He was father to 3 children and 3 step-children, Edmond, Laine, Kori, Barrett, Avery, and Everett.
Danny joined the Tennessee Army National Guard on 21 April 2009 as an Aviation Operations Specialist. Prior to becoming a Warrant Officer he served as an Air Traffic Controller while deployed in support of Operation Enduring in 2011. Danny graduated the Warrant Officer Candidate School on 28 May 2015. Upon graduating flight school on 21 August 2014, Danny served as a UH-60 Blackhawk Pilot and Aviation Life Support Equipment Officer. CW3 Randolph was aspiring to be a Maintenance Test Pilot and graduated from the Aviation Maintenance Officer Course on 6 October 2020. Danny’s dedication to duty and loyalty to his State was evident in his eagerness to volunteer for several national emergency missions to include hurricane relief, wildfire support, and COVID 19 support.
His awards include the Army Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the NATO Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Air Assault Badge, the Pathfinder Badge, the Aviator Badge, the Tennessee National Guard War Service Ribbon, the Tennessee National Guard Emergency Service Ribbon, the Virgin Islands Emergency Service Ribbon, the Michigan Exercise Ribbon, and the Meritorious Unit Commendation.
